Kevin Durham began Seriously Funny Productions to break into TV presenting. Not content with standard red-carpet formalities, Kevin forged his own style by connecting with celebrities through humour and banter, ditching the "who are you wearing?" routine for genuine, light-hearted moments. This unconventional approach quickly gained him recognition and led to direct offers from studios like Fox, Universal, and Warner Bros, where he presented and produced promo content for big film releases.
After a successful run in front of the camera, Kevin grew wary of the industry’s fleeting glamour and pivoted towards production. He developed several TV pilots, attracting interest from networks like Comedy Central, ITV, and BBC, and nearly secured a commission with ViacomCBS for his sci-fi comedy animation Time Family. Yet, when the project didn’t get greenlit, Kevin realised that true creative control would come only from creating his own feature film, not just pitching TV pilots.
With little more than a shoestring budget, Kevin took on the challenge of producing his first feature film B-Movie, a comedy that had 70-people involved (cast and crew), which was shot in 13 days across Medway (with one day in Maidstone).
Now streaming on Amazon Prime, B-Movie showcases Kevin’s knack for doing a lot with very little and finding creativity in constraints.
Currently, Kevin is expanding his cinematic vision with a modern silent film and a new web series called Braveish, about a hapless, David Brent-like character in his 40s who dreams of YouTube stardom.
